Start your adventure early with pickup from your hotel or riad between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. Your journey begins with a drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) — the highest road in Morocco. Enjoy panoramic views, mountain villages, and scenic stops along the way for photos and coffee.

Your first destination is the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most beautiful fortified villages. Follow your local guide on a walking tour through its narrow clay streets and learn about the history of this ancient caravan stop, famous for movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy.

After your visit, enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Kasbah.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Visit Taourirt Kasbah and see the Atlas Film Studios (optional visit), where many Hollywood movies were filmed.

At the end of the day, sit back and relax on your drive back to Marrakech, arriving around 7:30 PM, with amazing memories of Morocco’s desert landscapes.
